Eligibility
This course is designed for medical and allied‑health professionals who want to build expertise in medical weight management and non‑invasive body contouring. It is ideal for doctors (MBBS, BHMS, BAMS, BDS, MD, general practice, or related fields) and Aesthetitians.
Syllabus
1.Skin Anatomy, Physiology & Clinical Skin Assessment
This module covers the layered structure of the skin (epidermis, dermis, hypodermis), its cellular components, physiological functions (protection, thermoregulation, sensation), and common skin types/conditions. It also introduces systematic clinical skin assessment techniques, including visual inspection, palpation, skin typing (e.g., Fitzpatrick scale), and use of diagnostic tools for treatment planning.
2.Dermatological Disorders – Acne, Pigmentary Disorders & Common Skin Conditions
Diagnosis and management of acne, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and other commonly encountered dermatological conditions.
3.Dermoscopy, Trichoscopy & Clinical Diagnosis
Clinical applications of dermoscopy and trichoscopy for accurate diagnosis of skin and hair disorders.
4.Chemical Peels
Fundamentals of chemical peels: classification by depth (superficial, medium, deep), common agents (AHA, BHA, TCA, Jessner’s), indications, contraindications, and risk management.
Practical training: client consultation & consent, pre-/post-peel care, trolley setup, and hands-on demonstrations.
5.Facials (Hydrafacial, MediFacial & OxyGeneo)
Indications, protocols, and clinical applications of facial rejuvenation procedures for skin health and maintenance.
6.Microdermabrasion (MDA), Radiofrequency (RF) & HIFU Skin Tightening
Microdermabrasion (MDA): Principles of mechanical exfoliation, device types, indications, contraindications, treatment protocols, and post-procedure care.
Radiofrequency (RF) & HIFU Skin Tightening: Physics of RF and HIFU, tissue heating mechanisms, indications, safety parameters, session planning, and integration with facial treatments.
7.PRP, GFC, Mesotherapy & Microneedling
Foundations of PRP & GFC (blood collection, centrifugation, growth factors, indications/contraindications) and Mesotherapy & Microneedling (cocktail selection, injection/pen techniques, safety, protocols for skin rejuvenation).
8.Skin Boosters, Polynucleotides & Injectable Skin Rejuvenation
Science and clinical application of injectable skin rejuvenation - covering hyaluronic acid skin boosters, polynucleotides, and biostimulators - to improve hydration, texture, and dermal quality. You’ll learn product mechanisms, patient selection, BAP/mesotherapy injection techniques, treatment planning, safety/complication management, and aftercare through supervised live-model practice
9.Fitzpatrick Skin Typing, Treatment Planning & Post-Procedure Care
Classification of skin types I–VI based on UV response and melanin content, and risk assessment for pigmentary complications (PIH, hypopigmentation) to guide safe device/chemical selection. Structured treatment planning -including consultation, contraindication screening, pre-treatment preparation and phased post-procedure protocols tailored by Fitzpatrick type to optimize healing and outcomes.
10.Combination Therapies & Aesthetic Protocols
How to safely combine lasers, peels, injectables, and regenerative procedures to optimize clinical outcomes.
11.Clinical Photography, Documentation & Medico-Legal Aspects
Understand standardized clinical photography, informed consent, documentation, patient records, ethical practice, and medico-legal responsibilities in aesthetic medicine.
